솜사탕 기계 : Cotton candy maker

어릴적부터 솜사탕 기계는 꼭 갖고싶었던 물건 중의 하나. '조미료'인 설탕을 넣어서 '과자'인 솜사탕이 나온다는게 마치 구리나 납을 넣으면 금이 되어 나오는 기계를 보는 것 같았다고나 할까.
When I was a little child, I really wanted buy a cotton candy maker. It looked like a alchemic machine that makes gold from copper or lead, because it makes confectionery; cotton candy from seasoning; suger.
한국에 있을땐 죄다 상업용 대형 기계밖에 없었는데 미국에 오니 가정용으로 조그맣게 만들어진 물건이 있어서 구입했다. 가격도 그렇게 비싸지 않은데다가 설탕뿐 아니라 사탕을 넣어도 솜사탕으로 만들어준다.
In the U.S, there are some small cotton candy machines that are designed for family use. It's not so expansive and it can make cotton candy with regular hard candy.

기계를 켜고 몇분쯤 기다렸다가 가열되면 사탕을 넣어주면 준비 완료. 녹은 사탕이 실처럼 뽑아져나오면 나무젓가락이나 종이고깔에 둘둘 말아서 모으면 된다.
Turn on the machine and wait few minutes for warm up. After that, input some candies and gather the melted candy with chopstick or paper cone.
왠지 먹으면 놀이공원에 온듯한 기분이 들어서 좋다.
